About

I am a maker and graphic designer (and mother of five!) currently residing in Hebron, KY.

Whether I’m designing a logo, lettering on a chalkboard, or carving a lino block, for me, making art is all about the process. I enjoy brainstorming out a few ideas in my sketchbook before starting on a final piece. Once a sketch has been chosen, I will then take the necessary steps to complete the piece. This helps me pay attention to details and finesse the idea along the way.

I am passionate about creating pieces with my hands as well as designing art digitally. That’s why you’ll see several forms of mediums showcased in my portfolio. If one day I’m spending a lot of time making work on the computer, the next day I make sure to find time to step away from the screen and craft something solely made with my hands. It’s important for me to practice both because it balances my creative flow and keeps things fresh.

When I'm not working on a creative project, you'll usually find me running around town with my husband and kiddies or spending time with our extended families.

The little things...

• Early bird or Night owl? Early bird! Having a full house means busy days… and the early morning is the calm before the rush!

• Having said the previous statement...Death. Before. Decaf. ☕️

• Currently listening to Teagan and Sara.

• Decluttering a space always gets me out of a creative rut.

• Needless to say...Yes, I am a Virgo.

• I cherish the hours making crafts with my kids. It’s inspiring to watch their creativity develop and blossom as they get older.

• I'm always on the hunt for pottery or unique vessels to add to my home decor. You can never have too many plants ;) 🌿

I graduated from the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 2007 with a BFA major in Visual Communications with an emphasis in Graphic Design.

I am currently working at Design Direct LLC as a Product Designer.
